Vaishnav Bairagi Community National Appeal – Nivedan Diwas 2026
The ancient Sanatan Vaishnav Bairagi tradition has been an important part of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage for centuries. Saints and followers of this tradition have contributed greatly to the protection of Sanatan Dharma, social harmony, and spiritual teachings across different regions of India.
In recent years, members of the Vaishnav Bairagi community have started a collective effort to strengthen the recognition and representation of their historic identity. As part of this effort, 15 March 2026 will be observed as “Nivedan Diwas” (Day of Appeal) by members of the community across India.
On this day, individuals from the community are encouraged to send registered letters to the Prime Minister of India, respectfully presenting a set of requests related to the identity and development of the Vaishnav Bairagi society.
Recognition in Several Indian States
It is important to note that in some Indian states the community has already received recognition where the word “Vaishnav” is officially associated with the Bairagi identity. These states include:
Delhi
Madhya Pradesh
Chhattisgarh
West Bengal
This recognition reflects the historical and spiritual roots of the community in the Vaishnav tradition of Sanatan Dharma.
Key Requests of the Community
The community’s appeal focuses on three main points.
National Recognition of the Name “Vaishnav Bairagi”
The community respectfully requests that the Government of India recognize the identity “Vaishnav Bairagi” across the entire country. Such recognition would help preserve the religious and historical identity of the community.
Establishment of a Vaishnav Development Board
Another request is the creation of a Vaishnav Development Board that could support educational, cultural, and social initiatives related to the Vaishnav community.
Social and Political Representation
The community also hopes for fair representation in social and political platforms so that its concerns and contributions can be represented effectively at national levels.
Participation of the Community
One of the important aspects of this initiative is individual participation. When individuals send letters personally, each request is recorded separately, and responses from the Prime Minister’s Office are typically sent directly to the sender.
This approach allows every participant to feel personally connected to the effort of strengthening the identity and future of the community.
If thousands of people across India participate in this initiative, the collective appeal could become a meaningful voice representing the dignity and heritage of the Vaishnav Bairagi tradition.
