Suppressed History – Saga of Vaishnav Bairagis
Brothers and sisters,
Today I am not telling a story…
I am presenting to you the history that has been suppressed for years.
In India’s struggle for independence, some names were repeatedly mentioned,
but thousands of other names were deliberately hidden from the pages of history.
Who were they?
They were the Sanatan Vaishnav Bairagis.
They were not just saints,
they were not just ascetics—
when religion and culture were under threat,
these saints stood up as warriors.
They protected temples,
they safeguarded pilgrimage sites,
they defended the Sanatan tradition.
They went to jail,
they faced bullets,
many were hanged—
yet very few of their names were recorded in history books.
Let me make one thing clear—
Vaishnavs and Bairagis are not separate.
Bairagis are the valiant, selfless, and resilient form of the Vaishnav tradition.
So the question arises—
Was their crime that they had no vote bank?
Or was it that they stood fearlessly for Sanatan Dharma?
I have tried to record this suppressed history in my books—
“Yatra: From Gun to Pen”
“Mahant Bane Maharaja”
“Sanatan Vaishnav Bairagi – Forgotten Warriors and Soldiers”
Additionally, through the Nimbark Sampradaya’s Sanatan Vaishnav Bairagi tradition
and the monthly magazine “Sanatan Bharat Naya Savera”,
I have tried to preserve this history.
These books were written not for profit, nor for publicity—
but solely to preserve the truth.
Today I seek no support, only awareness.

Discover the suppressed history.
Bring it back to life.
Because history can be suppressed,
but it cannot be erased.
